Fall Grove Gatefold Card
When I’m creating cards, I love to create things that are a little unexpected. Cards that give just that extra touch of creativity and send the message that I was thinking of you before someone even opens the card to read the personal message. Fun fold cards are the perfect way to do that. Gatefold cards are a perfect way to do that.
Creating the actual gatefold is fairly simple–especially if you score your paper with a scoring tool and use a bone folder to really burnish the creases.
I think it is really fun to put panels of Designer Series Paper on the fronts of the gatefold card and then get creative with the belly band that helps close the card. Then, once you slide the belly band off the card you can open it up to any level of surprise you want–decoration, stamped sentiment, personal written note, etc.

I’ve been creating a lot of gatefold cards lately. Some with belly bands, and some other variations.
We were challenged during OnTour this spring to create four different cards using four different stamp sets with the same card design. Well, since I’ve been on the gatefold kick, I chose to create a gatefold design with a belly band. Here are the other three cards I made with this same design.
