Thank You Carpenter
Have you ever had anyone create something for you using wood? It never ceases to amaze me how someone can take blocks of wood and use woodworking tools to create amazing works of art. When you receive a priceless, handmade gift, you need a special card to say thank you carpenter.
The same goes for almost any great work of art. It’s mind boggling that with tools of the trade and simple beginning elements amazing, creative, works of beauty are the result.
- Rock + stone cutting tools = sculpture
- Clay + tools = pottery (vases, bowls, plates, etc)
- Canvas + paint = stunning pictures to hang on a wall
- Camera + photo paper = amazing images capturing a moment in time
- Blank book + pencil = stories about all kinds of characters and adventures
- Piece of sheet music + instrument = melodious songs that hang on the air and brighten our days
- Piece of paper + ink and stamps = cards or memory keeping pages to make us and those around us smile.
What are some other examples you can think of?

Card Details
Want to make a thank you card for someone who has shared their art with you but don’t know where to start? I want to help you turn your crafting stress into success. Make a #simplestamping card using images of the tools of the art form to say thanks.
This card spotlights the tools of wood working in a clean and simple way. It all begins with a circle of color added with a blending brush.
Then, stamp a few sets of the screws randomly around the circle.
Next, create the tools themselves with color added to the tools with a blender pen and the handles using two-step stamping.
Finally, cut out the tools with the dies and adhere them to the card front. If you don’t have dies, they can be fussy cut out of paper. The Trusty Tools dies are a Sale-A-Bration item you can earn for FREE through February 28.

Thanks Stef. Yes, full circle. One handmade git deserves a handmade thank you.
Your tools are a great thank you for a woodworker. I like the way you’ve added the colour under the tools and used colours that work well with the DSP. Thank you for joining in with my CAS Masculine challenge at The Paper Players.
Thanks Jan.
