Peace On Earth

This is a good time of year to focus on peace on earth. Technically, any time of year is good for that.

When I created this card, I had no idea that all living hostages would be returned to Israel before I posted this blog. Do I think this means peace on earth? Even I am not naive enough to believe that. In fact, there will not be total peace on earth in this life. There will only be total peace when we get to Heaven.

That doesn’t mean we should give up trying to make our own little corner of the world more peaceful. Do your part. Create peace in your home. Create peace in your neighborhood.

Peace starts with each of us. And it is only truly possible through Jesus Christ.

Blue card with background of rectangles of two patterns of background paper. Two are dark blue with lighter blue leaves on stems. Two are just various shades of light blue. There is a sentiment label in the center that says, "Peace on Earth" and has a diecut of a flying dove. Light blue flower shaped embellishments are added

Want to create a card that represents peace? I want to help you turn your crafting stress into success.

Stampin’ Up!® makes it easy to focus on peace this season. Their Peaceful Garden Suite has everything you need. Doves are a symbol of peace. There are dove die cuts in this suite and printed doves on the Designer Series Paper.

The blues are a calming, peaceful color as well.

This card was also entered in the As You Like It: Favorite-Squares or Not and why? challenged Squares are not my favorite shape. I like to make rectangular cards and add a featured element that is more circular or has curvy elements to it on top of the rectangular pieces. I also really like to add a more organic shape (like the dove).
