Start with a Kit
Do you need a card for a specific occasion? Are you getting to craft at another location and you don’t want to pack your entire craft room? Start with a kit.
This weekend we had a 2-day craft hang-out at our church. You could bring whatever you were working on and come and go as you liked from 9am-9pm Friday and Saturday.
I was planning to work on cards. I didn’t have a specific plan and know exactly what products I would need. So, I started with a kit. Pack a kit with some coordiating cardstock and embellishments and see what you can create.
Of course the kits are amazing and gorgeous if you follow the detailed instructions to create the projects exactly as designed. But maybe you want to stretch your creative muscles and try something new.
Just start with a kit.

Card Details
Do you need to create a card but you don’t know where to start? I want to help turn your crafting strehttps://www.stampinup.com/products/pretty-in-pink-8-1-2-x-11-cardstock?demoid=2169750ss into success. Start with a kit.

This card started with the Calm & Bright Kit. The only thing I added to the kit was a piece of Pretty in Pink cardstock. Everything else I took from the kit.
The FMS713 sketch inspired the design and pieces from this kit were perfect to create something appropriate for the challenge.
- Start with the card base from the kit.
- Then, add a 3″ x 4″ piece of Pretty In Pink Cardstock
- Next, choose a sentiment from the kit’s stamp set and stamp in the color of the ink spot included on a label from the kit.
- Next, add the pre-punched branches from the kit
- Finally, add the pink and white embellishments from the kit

Here is another alternate card created with the Calm & Bright Card Kit with the addition of Lost Lagoon and Crumb Cake Cardstock.
