Red Flowers
What color flowers do you send for a celebration? For Christmas? Red flowers are typically associated with Christmas. Poinsettias in particular. I’m not sure what type of flower stamps come with the 12 Days of Crafting Advent Calendar, but when you stamp them in red, they seem poinsettia-ish
When you get ready to celebrate someone extra special, red flowers seem appropriate.

*spoiler alert–If you don’t want to know about products in the 12 Days of Crafting Advent Calendar, stop reading now.
This card was created with the 12 Days of Christmas Advent Calendar–day one product. It was a baggie full of dies that coordinate with the stamp set that comes with Advent Calendar.
I realize the flower stamps are not poinsettias, but I wanted to create a card that could be used for Christmas. So, I stamped them in red to make them poinsettia-ish. There is no Christmas sentiment included in the stamp set, but there is nothing preventing you from adding your own. I plan to stamp “Merry Christmas” on the inside of the card.

I love how you paired the flowers with the basket weave DSP; perfect texture background to show off those blooms. I think they look like poinsettias and I used that stamp exactly the same way! Thanks for sharing at CAS Colours & Sketches!
Thanks Amanda. I’m glad you also saw poinsettias when you looked at those stamps. 🙂
