Video: Peace . . .We could all use a little of that right now
I don’t know about you, but I could sure use a little more peace in my life, especially this year and especially right now. I remember saying a few days before the U.S. Presidential election how glad I would be when November 4 came so I could quit receiving political ads in the mail daily and seeing political ads on my television. I could finally not be enundated with U.S. politics. How wrong I was.
Here we are on November 6 with politics everywhere I turn, no election count finalized, and no end date firmly in sight. I’ve also seen a marked increase in stress and agitation as we wait for the unknown.
In the midst of the current chaos, I decided to focus on peace. This is the first week of November and the first week featuring the Dove of Hope stamp set. Today’s card features a card layer of Snowflake Splendor DSP with a dove carrying an olive branch stamped on the DSP. I also used all three layers of “peace” from the Joy Dies cut out in calming, peaceful colors and added to the front of this card.
We not only have calming color and the sentiment “Peace,” we also have a dove which is the symbol of peace carrying an olive branch another symbol of peace. And the dove with the olive branch symbolizes hope.
I think we’re all ready for a little more peace and hope right now.
