Grateful Deer
This card has so many different things that represent fall to me. The colors, fall foliage, acorns, leaves, and deer all say fall to me. Deer season is one of the things that has always announced the start of fall in my house. As the leaves change and fall foliage appears outside, the deer are also providing lots of entertainment as we watch them through the window.
Deer have played a big part in our Thanksgiving weekend, especially for the past few years. I know most people equate Thanksgiving with turkey. And, yes, that is what will be on our table for Thanksgiving dinner. But Thanksgiving and deer go hand in hand around here. Following the Thanksgiving dinner, the boys deer hunting weekend begins. I can even hear deer bleats (made by a human with a tool, not an actual deer) coming from the bedroom as I type this.
I would like to think my boys are excited about time off to spend with family, an amazing Thanksgiving dinner, and giving thanks for all the blessings in our lives.
Something tells me, they are a little more excited about a boys weekend and time spent out in the woods. That should provide lots of reasons to give thanks.

A lovely card – I do love to see deer on cards – I was lucky enough to have one run out in front of me yesterday whilst out walking the dogs. Thanks for sharing with us at SUOnly Challenge this week.
So glad the deer ran out in front of you while you were walking your dog and not while you were driving down the road. 🙂
Such a pretty card! I love the soft stamping of your deer. Have a great week and thanks for joining us at Watercooler Wednesday. Karen
Thanks Karen. I colored the deer by stamping and then using a blender pen to pull the ink color into the deer body.
Wonderful Fall card! Thanks for joining us at Watercooler Wednesday Challenges! Kath-DT
Thank you Kath
So very pretty Angel, love all your elements here, and it all says Fall to me, too! Thanks so much for playing at Sunday Stamps!
Thanks Heather
Beautiful card, angel! Your story reminds me of Thanksgiving’s at my moms house and the guys hunting before dinner that day. Thanks for joining the Paper Craft Crew this week!
We do dinner at noonish followed by deer hunting in our family. 🙂 That way if they are tracking all evening, it doesn’t affect Thanksgiving dinner.
Beautiful card! Thanks for sharing with us at Watercooler Wednesday.
Thanks Michelle
