Christmas Pineapple

From the moment I saw the inspiration photo for Just Add Ink, I knew I wanted to feature a silver pineapple. I’m not sure if that is exactly what is in the inspiration picture, but that it what I see and what I decided to feature. The tablecloth stripes in the photo inspired the DSP I used at the bottom of this card. I also was inspired to add some of the greenery using stamp from Christmas Rose and a die from the Flourish die set.

I’m not really sure why I am always so inspired by pineapples. Maybe it’s the fact that they are inspiring–they are tough on the outside, soft on the inside, stand tall, and wear a crown. Or maybe it’s because they are so delicious. Pineapple Dole Whip has some pretty amazing memories for me and is something to me that I equate with the happiest place on Earth-Disney World. PIneapples are so inspiring to me that I got a tattoo of one on a trip to Stampin’ Up!® OnStage Local in San Antonio. Pineapples and Stampin’ Up! will forever be connected in my mind.

What about you? Is there something that is forever connected to papercrafting or card making in your mind? Something unique to you?

  1. hehe, the vase at the end of the table totally looks like a silver pineapple!! Your card is very cute, and you’ve recreated the pineapple so prettily! Thanks for sharing with us at Just Add Ink.

    1. I was pretty sure what I saw as a pineapple wasn’t really a pineapple, but it is to me. 🙂 It certainly inspired this card.
