You’re on Fire

One of the things I often struggle with is finding a way to express my love and appreciation to the men in my life. Flowers and frilly things just won’t cut it. And, I know that often times when I need something special, I’ve been too exhausted to plan ahead.

I think that probably happens with you too. I get so frustrated when my body doesn’t cooperate with my desire to show someone how much I care. There are moments I can barely move from my recliner, let alone find the creative energy I need.

Those are the moments I need something that can be created quickly in the few minutes of time I have with my eyes open.

This is one of those cards.

I chose to do a watercolor wash on Basic White paper using both Pale Papaya and Calypso Coral, but if you wanted to make it even simpler using Pale Papya cardstock would cut out one more step.

Choosing a Suite of products from Stampin’ Up! cuts out the thought process needed to find coordinating products. You know they are all going to work together.’

Whether you need a card for a grill master, or just to tell someone they’re on fire, or smokin’; this is the perfect card. It would make a great birthday, congratulations, graduation, promotion, or just because card.

And, the great news is even feeling exhausted and like I couldn’t keep my eyes open 10 more minutes, I still managed to pull it together before I was completely done for the night.

The simplest way to decorate the inside of the card is to attach a strip of matching Designer Series Paper and leave yourself space to write a personal note (when you’ve recharged and have a bit of energy tomorrow, of course.)

  1. Quite the masculine card! Suites always make pulling things together so much easier. Making life even easier is when a color challenge and a sketch challenge come together so perfectly. Thanks so much for joining us at CC&S

    1. Thanks Shannon. I agree, I love it when a color challenge and sketch challenge can work together. It definitely inspires creativity.
