Be Brave
Earlier we talked about the importance of remembering that the sun will shine again even when you’re in the midst of the storm. This card is a reminder to be brave even while it’s storming. Grab your umbrella and a friend and head out to face the world.
This sweet little girl grabbed her dog to help her be brave and face the world. My dogs are great companions to help increase my bravery as well. What about you? Do you have a furry friend to help give you courage? Or is it a person who walks beside you, takes your hand, and grabs their own umbrella to head into the storm with you? Or maybe both?
I’ve found that children can be great examples on how to be brave and find joy in the rain. Have you ever gone on a walk outside with a child after a rainstorm or even while it is still raining? They love puddles and will jump in them and dance in the rain with joyful abandon.
So, when the rain is falling in your life, look for the joy. Dance in the rain and take a friend along with you to share.

Did you love to play with paperdolls as a child? Did you love cutting out outfits for them or cutting images out of catalogs to use as your dolls? Creating with this stamp set reminds me of the joy of paperdolls. Stamp the image on the paper you want to use to dress up your “doll” and then fussy cut out those pieces and adhere them to your stamped image.
Find a piece of patterned paper that would make a fun umbrella and add that pattern to your stamped umbrella. There is a die in the Umbrella Days Dies set to cut out the pieces to decorate your umbrella. Don’t have the die? Just stamp the image on your chosen paper and fussy cut it out.
