Bon Anniversaire

For you non French speakers out there, Bon Anniversaire is Happy Birthday. I don’t think one year of high school French qualifies me as a french speaker, but I sure enjoy pretending I am at least for this one card. 🙂 This is a Sale-a-bration stamp set that you can get in either French or English here in North America. So, if you’d like to pretend to be a french speaker, or you really are, or you’d like to make a card for someone who really is, you can get it in French, or you can get the Happy Birthday version in English.

In fact, there are many stamp sets available through Stampin’ Up! available in French. If you’re interested in finding out more, leave a comment or send me a message. I’d love to help you discover these treasures.

I know some of you prefer to stamp a stack of the same design so you end up with multiples of the same card. I prefer to create one card of one design at a time. This card lends itself to a nice compromise. After you create the initial card design, you are left with an oval of the designer series paper. That lends itself to a similar, design using the same materials.

Which is your favorite? Designer series paper as oval or cake stamped in center oval?

  1. This is such a pretty way to use the stamp and DSP to make two cards. I like both versions and the french sentiments work so beautifully with the vintage look to the papers you’ve used. Thanks for sharing with us at Just add Ink this week.
