Celebrate Summer Nights
It’s been time to clean my office for quite some time. In fact, it hasn’t been put together since I moved into it in October 2019. Well, this week I started the process of cleaning up, organizing, and making a home for everything and getting everything in its place.
During that process, I’ve been finding items I haven’t seen or played with in a while including some Paper Pumpkin kits. 🙂
When I found July 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit and saw it was titled Summer Nights, the same title as the Paper Craft Crew challenge this week, I knew I wanted to use some elements from that kit for my card for that challenge. And, I knew it would also by my choice for my card for the SUO Challenge 279: Designer’s Choice.
That Paper Pumpin Kit contained treat bags with firework cut outs. I decided to turn one of those treat bags into a shaker element for this card.
- Trim the bag to size
- Stamp fireworks around the cut out fireworks design
- Cut window sheet to size and adhere behind fireworks cutout on inside of bag piece
- Place foam strips all around window sheet.
- Add sequins inside foam strips window.
- Attach back of bag to foam strips to finish shaker element
- Adhere shaker element to card front.
The best part about cleaning up has been finding products I kind of forgot about and getting inspired to make new creations. What is your favorite part of cleaning up your craft supplies? What have you been inspired to create with found items?
