Christmas Lights
Christmas season is in full swing. One of my favorite activities during this time of year is checking out the Christmas lights displays around the area and on all my travels.
My husband sent me the list of the location of all Christmas lights displays in our local area today. I immediately found myself looking at the calendar and trying to pick a date we can spend the evening checking out Christmas light displays.
My favorites are generally those fairly simple with white lights. Although I am entertained by displays with animated light shows that dance to the music.
What are your favorite Christmas lights?
Christmas Luminaries
My first Christmas decoration project for this season were Christmas luminaries. These were created as gifts for my team members and roommate gift for Stampin’ Up! Onstage in November.
Project Details
Cut two pieces of cardstock 6 1/2″ x 10″, score each at 4 1/2″ and 9″
Then, Cut designs in all four cardstock panels with dies from the Twinkling Lights dies
Next, cut vellum and adhere to cardstock.
Finally, attach the two pieces of cardstock to each other with Tear and Tape on the 1″ scored edge.
Add lights to these luminaries with battery operated tea lights. Paper luminaries with real flame candles would not be a good idea. 🙂
