Classic Birthday
I made a birthday card this week for the Stampin’ Up! Only Challenge #301. I also decided to enter it in Just Add Ink #602–Just Choose Two . . . I chose stencilling and heat embossing.
The He’s the Man Designer Series Paper has two sheets of pre-cut diecuts. I punched them all out, used a couple to decorate the front of this card and then used the sheet as a stencil. I chose to stencil the classic car on the front of the card to create my own patterned paper.
The sentiment is heat embossed with black embossing powder. The diecuts added to the card front point toward the sentiment label to draw your attention to the birthday sentiment.
The car die itself is featured on the inside of the card.
Do you have a type and/or year of car that will always be your favorite? Maybe your first car? Maybe the car you learned to drive on? Maybe the car that has always been your someday dream car?

So cute, Angel – this is such a great suite! Love the color background you created, too – so fun!
Thanks Heather. Using the negative images of those die cuts as masks was so much fun.
Great card. What a great way to stencil by using the residual die cut piece. Thank you for sharing this week at Just Add Ink! Ann
Thanks Ann. I love that the die=cut negative space can make great stencils.
