Fluffy Honey Bear

Last month our featured stamp set was all about bees. This month we are focused on Fluffiest Friends. But, I chose to start our monthly videos by continuing the focus on bees and honey only this time we are featuring the fluffy honey bear.

Black card covered diagonally from mid-left center of card to top right corner in honeycomb patterned paper. There is a brown strip running along the diagonal with a beehive hanging from a tree branch. The bottom of the card has a half oval opening cut into the card base so you can see the bear with his honey pot and bees on the inside. The sentiment says, "You're sweet as honey."

Card Details

Have you ever tried to cut a window into the front of a card so you can peek through into the inside? That’s what I tried to do with this card.

I wanted to bottom part of the card to be dark. But, how could the bear show up on black cardstock.

There were two options.

Create the bear on scrap paper and then cut it out using dies before attaching it to the front.
Stamp the bear on the inside of the card and then use a die to cut a shape out of the card front to see the inside peeking out.

This card showcases #2. Maybe the bear is enjoying his honey inside his cave and the bees followed him inside to see what he is doing. Maybe the bear’s cave just happens to be right under a bee hive. Maybe he stole a honey pot from a picnic table and the bees are attracted to the honey and just checking it out.
