Go for the Gold
We are smack dab in the middle of the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics. And every day there are multiple athletes from various countries competing in a variety of athletic events. They all have one thing in common. They are all in Italy to go for the gold.
What does it mean to you to go for the gold? When you think of it in conjunction with the Olympics or other competitions, it means to give it your all, to be the very best. Strive for excellence whatever you do.
But, it could mean other things.
Go for the gold could mean . . .
- Invest in precious metals
- Strive for gold jewelry
- Join a pirate’s crew searching for buried treasure
- Find a leprechaun’s pot of gold at the end of a rainbow
What does go for the gold mean to you?

Card Details
See a card you like, but need it for a different occasion? I want to help turn your crafting stress into success. Use what you love about that card and CASE the elements changing them to make it appropriate for the card you need.
This card was CASEd from a Valentine card by Tammy Fite. I used the same sketch changing the pinks to green. The three panels on the card front layer with used in the same way as the CASEd card. Both outer strips were embossed with patterned paper in the center. The paper used from the Splash of Sparkles DSP is meant to represent the rainbow.
The featured element on the card is a pot of gold which you can find at the end of the rainbow. The gold is also represented with the gold heat embossed sentiment and gold flower accents.
I decided to go for the gold with this card and I found it.

I had a hard time deciding which I prefer, cute or elegant cards? It really depends on the situation. I did finally settle on cute. This card definitely fits that category. And, I prefer to make cute card because they make me smile and I hope they will bring a smile to the face of the recipient. 🙂
This card was created for the Stampin’ Up!® Only Challenge 395: CASE the Designer. I CASED the sktech, even using the same dimensions for all the paper pieces. I also CASEd embossing the strips on the outside of the card layer along with patterned paper in the middle. Then I also chose to make a holiday themed card, using St. Patricks Day instead of Valentine’s Day. I can’t wait to see how you are going to CASE Tammy’s card. Please share with us at SUO Challenges 395. This challenge will remain open through Sunday, March 1. Add your card at SUOC395.
