Halloween Hippo
It is Halloween week. There are lots of Halloween activities, movies, images, etc. all around right now. I have never been a big fan of the gory, scary, spooky part of Halloween. But, I do enjoy the cute, fun, dress-up, treat part of Halloween. This Halloween Hippo is right up my alley and what I enjoy about this season.
I’ve also found myself pretty obsessed with baby pigmy hippo videos. There was a baby pigmy hippo born at a local wildlife park this year. I am obsessed watching daily videos of Mars the pygmy hippo from Tanganyika Wildlife Park.
Why not combine Halloween with my current hippo obsession and feature a hippo on a Halloween card.

Card Details
Do you want to create a fun Halloween card using only paper? I want to help you turn your crafting stress into success. The Spooky Sweet Specialty Designer Series Paper not only has fun patterns to create gorgeous background papers, but also punch out items like the hippo and candy corn.
I didn’t want my Halloween card to be too scary. It needed to be more about the fun and treats. This card didn’t just use the Spooky Sweet DSP. It did use a stamp from the Spooky Halloween stamp set that expresses exactly what I wanted to express: “No tricks All treats.” Don’t have a stamp that says that? You can always write it. 🙂

The fun treat theme carries into the inside of the card. “Don’t worry. Eat Sweets! Happy Halloween!” That sounds like a perfect Halloween plan. What do you think?

OMG–I love Mars!! I am obsessed, too!! He’s so adorable! And, I love your card, too! Great job with the inspiration photo!!
Thanks Tammy. I am so obsessed with Mars. And, he only lives about 30 minutes from me. Someday I’m going to go see him in person. I’m a little afraid he’ll just be lying around like a potato while I’m there in person.
