Mother’s Day Flowers

How are you planning to celebrate your mom or the moms in your life this week? How about some Mother’s Day flowers?

Are you looking forward to Mother’s Day? Or is this day hard for you? Maybe you have a biological mother or grandmother you can’t wait to celebrate? Maybe your relationship with your mother is more difficult and you don’t or can’t celebrate her. If that is the case for you, I’m sorry. It makes this week difficult, but if you look hard enough, you will find someone who has been a “mother” to you even if there’s no biological connection.

Who has been there for you no matter what life throws at you? Who is the first person you want to call when something good happens? When something bad happens? When you just need someone to love you and hold you close?

Who taught you life lessons you use today?

Still can’t think of someone to celebrate? Choose a young mom you know to bless and celebrate this Mother’s Day. Parenting is hard. Those young moms out there could use a bit of encouragement and celebration.

Who can you celebrate this week?

Red Mother's Day card with large die of gold heat embossed roses and other flowers on black. "Happy Mother's Day" is stamped at the bottom of the card. Card is finished with black and gold sparkle gems.

Card Details

Do you want to give someone flowers for Mother’s Day but real flowers are not possible for whatever reason? Create a card with paper roses.

Why not create a card that really says celebration?

  • Add gold bling by heat embossing the stamp set with gold embossing powder.
  • Adhere your heat embossed bouquet to a red card.
  • Add sparkle dots in black and gold

When you think elegance and celebration? What colors come to mind. I think red, black, and gold say elegance and celebration to me.

This card was entered in the As you See It Challenge #322: The color I use least in my crafting is:? For me it is Real Red. I don’t often craft with red at all, but when I do I tend to choose other Stampin’ Up!® reds–Cherry Cobbler, Poppy Parade. But for this card, I challenged myself to use the color I craft with the least–Real Red.

What is your least used color when crafting?

  1. Angel, I loved your sentiments on Mother’s Day and the notion that there is someone out there that has represented the best of motherhood to you and you could send a card of celebration to them! Real Red is a pretty intense colour as well. You’ve done well in adding black and gold, and giving your card an Asian feel! Thanks for filling in the blank for us at As You See It.
