Quick and Easy Father’s Day

Did you see with the release of the new 2024-2025 Annual Stampin’ Up!® catalog that there are now three categories of crafting with Stampin’ Up!®? Step by Step, Quick and Easy, and Crafting Your Way. I decided to make a quick and easy Father’s Day Card.

Three Types of Crafting

  • Step by Step–All inclusive kits with everything you need to create your project in one box you can carry with you. Includes full color step-by-step instructions and pieces already cut to size.
  • Quick and Easy–Ready for more options, but still want something relatively quick and easy to put together? Check out the pre-designed card and envelope packs along with different ephemera packs of pre-cut out elements of different shapes, sizes, and themes. There are even some relatively basic stamp sets in this section that you could use to make multiple cards for various occasions quickly.
  • Creativity Your Way–Ready to step up your creativity and cardmaking even more? Just want to shop all the stamps, tools, and accessories and choose your own favorites? You’re ready for Creativity Your Way. This is where you will find the Stampin’ Up!® Suites and all the latest products and tools both old favorites and new.

I like a little bit of everything. And, as you can see from this card here, you can mix the categories up and use parts from any and all of them together. This started as a Quick and Easy Father’s Day card, but I added products from the Creativity Your Way section. 🙂

And, no, you don’t have to shop by crafting style. You can still shop the way you’re used to, but color, type of product, occasion, etc. But, you could shop by crafting style if you want and don’t want to be overwhelmed by the multiple choices out there.

Blue and white checkered pre-printed card. Front of card has pre-printed panel of vintage airplanes flying through a cloudy sky. Printed panel is framed by copper clay colored cardstock. White label with blue dots across top is stamped with "Happiest Father's Day". Three silver hexagon trinkets are added.

Card Details

This Father’s Day Card started with a pre-printed card from the Calming Creek Cards and Envelopes and uses a label from the Labels & Layers Mix & Match Ephemera Pack.

Next, elements from the Take to the Sky Suite were added.

  • The Happy Father’s Day Sentiment stamped on the label
  • The pre-printed card front image of vintage airplanes flying through the sky
  • Finally, the Industrial Trinkets.

Start with the elements from the Quick & Easy section and then add your own creativity if you want. Or don’t. That’s the beauty of homemade cards. When you make a card for someone, you get to choose what you add or don’t.
