Rhinestones and Ribbons
The minute I saw the Global Design Project Challenge of the week, I was inspired to create a card with a die cut shape wrapped in ribbon. But, I didn’t have any of the other design details worked out. Then, when I saw the color challenge for Paper Craft Crew, it all fell together.
The colors for PCC439 were the colors of the Olympic rings. I knew right away those were the perfect colors for this design and I happened to have ribbons in all those colors except yellow. So, the card base color would represent the yellow. I did use a blue ribbon, but it is a sheer pool party ribbon, so to make sure the blue was clearly represented, the scalloped circle and ink color for the sentiment were both Misty Moonlight.
I noticed the holiday rhinestones have all the Olympic colors represented except black and I happened to have some retired black rhinestones, so I couldn’t help but create a representation of the Olympic rings with the colored rhinestones.
I hope the Olympics created a sense of world harmony, unity, and peace for you.
