Sparkling Bright Ocean
The colors of the Paper Players Challenge this week are really what inspired the design of this card. The Waves of the Ocean DSP has two of the colors used in the challenge this week–Coastal Cabana and Daffodil Delight. Once I realized that, the card just came together. The Designer Series Paper created an ocean scene on which I stamped fish and other sea creatures. I also punched out a whale using Basic Gray with Coastal Cabana water squirting out of his blow hole.
The pop of Polished Pink came with the card base and shimmer vellum. The vellum was heat embossed with the sentiment that is a sneak peek of an upcoming stamp from the 2022-2023 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog.
When I’m creating with the Whale Done Stamp Set, I generally try to fit the seahorse and jelly fish somewhere on my project. Can you find them swimming in the ocean?

What a fabulous ocean scene you’ve created, I just love how you’ve used the colors! Your sentiment is perfect and looks great on the pink vellum. So glad to have you join the challenge this week at The Paper Players!
Thanks Cindy. I initially wasn’t sure the pink would work in an ocean scene, but I think it was just the right pop of color
Such an adorable card, Angel! I had fun funding the sea horse and jellyfish. The pink shimmer paper really sets off the entire card. I LOVE the subtle shine. Thank you for playing with The Paper Players this week!
Oops…I meant to say I had fun finding the sea horse and jellyfish! lol
Thanks Ann. I’m glad you had fun going on the hunt for my favorite sea creatures. I also LOVE the shine of that vellum. Now I’m wishing I had used it on other cards.
So pretty Angel! I bet that shimmer velum really takes center stage in-person. Thanks so much for joining us this week over at The Paper Players!
Thanks Anne Marie. You’re right. That shimmer vellum is awesome in person. Photos just don’t do it justice.
