Stars & Silhouette Birthday Card
I love to create cards that are black and white/vanilla with a pop of color. When I saw that the color combination for the TGIF challenge this week was just that and the pop of color was my favorite Stampin’ Up! color, Blackberry Bliss, I knew I had to create a card for that challenge.
When I settled on the stars and silhouette for the Just Add Ink–Just Choose Two challenge, I knew I didn’t want to just leave stark vanilla pieces on this card. This represents more of a dusk or nighttime image. So, I used the blending brushes with the Blackberry Bliss ink to create a more dusk-like feeling to the card. The hazy purple sky with the gold stars and the silhouette of the bunny and plants makes me feel like I’m looking out after the sun has gone down before the night sky is completely filled with stars.
The shining gold touches might just represent the last rays of the sun reaching out over the earth as it sets beyond the horizon.
