Still Smiling
I have had personal reasons to pivot and make a “new normal” at the beginning of every decade of my life. So, I am used to defining my personal life in terms of before and after. Every time I must pivot, I just think “here we go again.” and “I know how to do this.” That is in my personal life. This is a first for all of us, to have to learn how to pivot and create a “new normal” together. This pandemic has affected us worldwide.
Believe it or not, if you see me with a face mask on, I am generally smiling underneath. Why? Because that means I’m outside of my home and even though I am practicing social distancing, I am still interacting with those around me. I am sending you a smile to hopefully brighten your day. Hopefully, you can tell by the crinkling of my eyes since the facemmask is hiding my smile. I’d love to see an eye crinkle in return. 🙂
It took me a few attempts to create the paper facemasks, but the final result comes from rectangles of cardstock cut to the size you want and scored every 1/4″ and the folded accordion style. The ear loops are made with gold twine.

Oh so perfect for today! Love how you made the panels into masks! Glad you joined us at FMS!
Thanks Linda. I had the idea in my head, but figuring out how to turn that into reality took a bit longer than I expected it to. 🙂 Glad you liked the final result.
This is such a fun card! And what a clever take on the sketch! Thanks so much for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches.
Thank you Karren!
Such a pretty and timely card! And yay you, for always smiling! It can be trying lately. Thank you so much for playing along with us at the CC&S challenge blog.
Thanks Julie. I intentionally look for things to smile about. 🙂 I know smiling is contagious and I want to help be part of the spread of smiles and joy.
