Swimming in the Ocean
When you think about swimming what instantly comes to mind? For me, I equate swimming with public community swimming pools, lots of chlorine, and a pool full of humans only in brightly colored swimsuits.
There is a part of me that dreams about being able to swim alongside sea creatures in their natural ocean habitat and experience sealife in it’s natural glory.
However, I know myself well enough to know that even if that were possible someday, I would want some kind of barrier between myself and the sealife. I don’t want fish or other animals brushing my skin and swimming between my toes.
I don’t live anywhere near an ocean, but we do have lakes. You will never find me swimming somewhere I share the water with aquatic creatures. We can each stay in our own natural habitat and do just fine. Don’t come to my house and I won’t bother you in yours.
I know some people love swimming in lakes or oceans. My own adult kiddos were just at the swim beach at the lake. The thought of that makes me shiver. What about you? Where do you enjoy swimming? Do you enjoy swimming?
Swimming in the Ocean Card Details
So, I will leave the ocean swimming to the natural sealife and I will just dream about what it might be like and make a card to represent that image.
It is retired, but this Waves of the Ocean DSP is my favorite to represent the ocean. I used three different patterns on this card and there is swimming sealife on all of them. Can you find the fish? sea turtle? whale? seahorse?
I like to imagine my ocean full of beautiful and nice sea creatures. Nothing scary here. What about you? When you think of the ocean, what creatures do you imagine?
