Thanksgiving Placecards

There are very few meals in life that deserve a placecard at your table setting. At least in my life anyway. Well, Thanksgiving is one of those meals. Especially when extended family is getting together. So, that was my contribution to Thanksgiving dinner this year. I am not hosting, but I did spend time completing the place cards at my parents’ home the night before Thanksgiving. That and my family’s favorite canned cranberry sauce. It’s just not cranberry sauce without can ridges. 🙂

So, this Thanksgiving dinner, there will be tent placecards beside each plate. They each have a family member’s name written on them as well as a bundle of diecut metallic leaves adding decoration.

Maybe every dinner needs a placecard. It certainly makes the meal feel more special. Maybe that would even entice the whole family to gather around the table.
