Valentine Already?

Why did I create a card for Valentine’s Day in the middle of November? The truth is I have no idea why that is where my mind took me. I often have no idea why my mind takes me where it does. 🙂 Maybe I was inspired because I have seen the upcoming January-June 2021 Mini Catalog and know what is coming for Valentine’s Day. Maybe I wanted to play with this new paper again. Maybe it is just a day I need hearts and flowers. Whatever the reason, this is where my mind took me today.

I was creating a tree, not with Christmas images, but with hearts and flowers.

I have a secret to tell you…Are you ready? Can you keep it to yourself? I messed up this card while I was creating it and accidentally cut into the fold.

I could have gotten mad and thrown it away and started from scratch. And let me tell you, for a minute that is definitely what I wanted to do. But, I love these flowers and I didn’t want to waste them. I supposed I could have cut it all apart and mounted it on a new card base. Instead, what I did was add even more flowers. I took smaller strips of the patterned paper and patched the seam.

I think I like it even better. Like Bob Ross always said, “We don’t make mistakes–we just have happy accidents.”
