Valentine Loaded Envelope

I have to admit when I first saw the TGIF challenge this week was a loaded envelope, my initial thought was, “No way I’m doing that. I’ve never even head of a loaded envelope and I don’t want to learn anything new this week.” Well, I obviously changed my mind. I decided to at least check it out and learn about loaded envelopes. When I did that, I was suddenly convinced I wanted to try it and would make loaded envelope Valentines for my family this year.

For me, the first step in this process was to figure out what I was going to load my envelope with. That meant a fun trip to Dollar Tree to shop for some fun Valentine gifts and candy. The next step was creating an envelope with Designer Series Paper. I decided to add a small pocket on the front so I had two pockets to fill with goodies. This adds even more layering fun.

Then, I made a special Valentine to go with the goodies. I used the sweet little girl from the Catching Butterflies Sale-a-bration Stamp Set. But instead of chasing butterflies, she’s chasing hearts. 🙂

And, these went in the small pocket.
Here are all the goodies that went in the large pocket.
