Watercolor Wash Background with Wildlife
I learned something valuable while making my card today. As I’m creating, I can see the final product in my head throughout the entire process. When I was looking at a pile of products I was going to use and creating step by step the entire time I was imagining what you see in the picture above. This is not, however, is not what others see.
My husband walked into my office while I was creating the watercolor wash background and was very confused about what was happening. He didn’t see the vision quite the same way I was seeing it. I was thrilled to be able to show him the final product and have it match the image that had been in my head all day.
When you’re creating on watercolor paper, make sure you take time and let the ink dry between steps. Here were the steps used on this watercolor later.
- Make a watercolor wash background.
- Stamp wildlife images in black ink.
- Watercolor inside wildlife images with same ink color as background.
