Welcome 2023

This is the first week of a new year. It’s time to say welcome 2023. If there’s one thing we can say about the previous few years, it’s that you can’t call them boring. There hasn’t been a year in recent history at least for me that has been completely normal where everything went as expected.

I don’t expect 2023 to be any different. But, I am facing the new year with more excitement and anticipation rather than dread. New and unexpected doesn’t have to mean scary and awful. It can mean exciting and surprising. It definitely means adapting, learning new ways of doing things, and just learning in general.

I don’t know what 2023 will bring. But, that is what makes it exciting. It will bring a chance to learn and grow. It will bring a chance to keep moving forward and becoming a better version of myself. It will bring a chance for love, joy, peace, and hope. But only if I make that choice. Only if I choose to face whatever comes my way with a willingness to learn from it and choose good.

That is easier said than done. I don’t do it well every single time. But, I’ve had lots of practice learning to adapt to unexpected changes and choose good. So, I’m offering if 2023 throws you curveballs you don’t know how to handle, bring them here. My door is open to you and I’d love to help you with whatever 2023 brings our way.
