Winter Deer Birthday Card
As much as I enjoy creating with the spring products and pretending spring is here, it is still winter. And, the challenges I chose to use as inspiration reminded me that it’s still completely appropriate to be creating winter cards. So, I’ve created a winter themed birthday card with a deer as the focal point.
This card is more accurate to the types of trees and colors I see looking out my window anyway.
The deer is colored by using a Blender Pen to pull color from the outline of the deer into it’s body after it’s stamped. I love hos blender pens make me look like an artist. It’s reminds me a bit of the paint with water coloring books I loved growing up.
Just a reminder on the inside of the card that growing up is a trap!!! 🙂

Beautiful, Angel! The blue is so perfect for a winter card. This deer image is one of my favorites, and looks so cute peeking out over the sentiment. Thank you for playing with The Paper Players this week!
Thanks Ann. I too love the deer image and that is exactly what I see out my parents’ window at times.
This sweet wintry card has beautifully captured what I see outside my back window today! (written before noting the comment above, lol) The scene is soft and so serene. I love how you’ve colored the deer, he makes a great focal point. So glad you played along with us at The Paper Players!
Thanks Cindy! I’m glad you get to see such beautiful, peaceful wildlife out your window. It certainly makes winter more bearable.
