5 Year Cancer-versary
Today marks a very important day in my life, so what do I do–make a card This is my cancer-versary. If you don’t know what that is, it is the anniversary of the day I received my cancer diagnosis. This is my 5th anniversary, which is the number I have been striving to reach since the day I was diagnosed.
The 5th cancer-versary is a milestone. It is worth celebrating. It is worth recognizing this is a type of graduation. I’m not sure what is my next cancer related goal? Maybe celebrate every five years NED (no evidence of disease)?
It definitely means it’s time for a card. 🙂 During my Facebook LIVE this week I created a simple version of this design.

For the challenges, I created a stepped up version. I added embossing to the support ribbon die, ribbon to the DSP strip. and additional embellishments. Although the sentiment still says “Congratulations,” the one on the simple version comes from a Last Chance stamp set–Flourishing Phrases. The stepped up Congratulations is from the Peaceful Moments Stamp Set
I tried different embossing folders with the support ribbon until I settled on Swirls & Curls. Here are pictures of additional support ribbons using Tufted Embossing Folder and Country Floral 3D Embossing Folder. Which is your favorite?
