2,4,6,8
It’s time for another Stampin’ Up! Only Challenge. The theme for challenge #332 is fancy fold. The fancy fold used for this card is 2,4,6,8.
“2,4,6,8 who do we appreciate?” is always the first thing that comes to mind. But, this has nothing to do with any kind of cheer for a sports team or otherwise.
Although you could give a cheer when you pass along this card. 2,4,6,8 who do we appreciate? (Enter name of card recipient repeated at least three times.) I wish we had the technology where the card could cheer when the envelope was opened. How do you think we could make that happen?
What do you think of when you hear 2,4,6,8?
Card Details
Does the thought of creating a fancy fold card scare you a little bit? Do you think it seems super complicated and maybe even bordering on impossible? I want to help turn your crafting stress into success. Making a 2,4,6,8 fancy fold card is not difficult, but the end product is stunning.
2,4,6,8 doesn’t refer to a cheer. It refers to the measurements you score on your patterned paper. A piece of patterned paper is cut 12″ x 5 1/4″ and then scored on the long side at 2″,4″, 6″, and 8″.
Next is folding and gluing. Starting at the first score line, you fold in alternate directions: mountain, valley, mountain, valley.
Then, glue the first two 2″ sections together and the next two 2″ sections together to make two flaps.
Next, glue the final four inch section to a coordinating piece of 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ cardstock.
Finally, add tabs to each flap and decorate your card.
