Adventure in the Sky

When was the last time you took an adventure in the sky? What type of adventure?

Generally, I take jets for my adventures in the sky. And I load the airplane through a gate at the airport where I transfer to an aisle chair at the doorway of the plane and then use that to get to my seat on the airplane. That is enough of an adventure for me. That and hoping my wheelchair arrives safely at my destination in the same condition it was when I got on the plane. 🙂

But, my biggest adventure was even more exciting than that. I was flying from a smaller airport on a smaller airplane that all passengers had to walk outside and climb the steps of the plane to get on. My wheelchair does not climb steps well! So, my adventure was transferring to an aisle chair inside the airport and then being pushed out to the plane and carried aisle chair and all up the steps by local firemen. I bet they didn’t know that was going to be one of their duties when they joined the fire department. 🙂

What is your biggest adventure in the sky?

Yellow card with green topographical map patterned paper as background paper. Then strip of blue background paper with white clouds. The focal point image is a yellow and blue diect propeller plane and several stamped and diecut clouds. One cloud has the sentiment stamped in it, "You're the Best Plane and Simple."

Card Details

This card shows another adventure in the sky. I’ve never flown in a propeller plane. How about you?

This plane diecut is blue and yellow which will always be my favorite 2-color combination. Or, blue and gold as I like to call it. Those are the school colors of my Alma Mater! Go Bluejays! Not only will I always be partial to blue and gold. I will also always have a moment of dislike for red and white. My fellow bluejays will understand.

The Designer Series paper and stamp sets used for this card are retired. But, the dies are currently available at a discount in the Last Chance Products section of the store. You can make your own blue and yellow plane OR whatever two-color combination you choose. Just don’t pick red and white please.

  1. Angela, that must have been quite the adventure being carried up and down stairs by the firefighters! Great story! I’ve flown on a plane with propellers, it was a prop jet flying from a small town in Iowa to Minneapolis during a snowstorm and it was not fun! I’ll stick with jets.

But it would be fun to fly in a an old plane like the one on your card. The map dsp and the clouds are the perfect layers behind your wonderful bi-plane die cut. Thanks for joining it at the Paper Players!

    1. The firefighters did a great job. But, that is not an experience I’m looking to have again any time soon. 🙂
