Summer Sunset

Is there a time of year you enjoy more than the others? Is there a time of year you enjoy the sunset/sunrise more than others? There is nothing like a summer sunset, especially if it is over the water.

Maybe they’re more enjoyable because they’re later in the day. Work is over. Supper is over. The children are probably already in bed. It is time to relax and watch the world shut down for the day.

It doesn’t hurt that the colors are so vibrant.

Card Design

Have some beautiful patterned paper you hate to cut into? I want to turn your crafting stress into success. Create a card featuring your gorgeous paper. You do still have to cut it into panels, but maybe it won’t be as stressful knowing you’ll still get to see the image not covered up.

We had a demonstrator only meeting here in Kansas called Hearts of Oz this weekend. This card design was one of our make and takes. I immediately came home and created this version of the card. It was perfect for my inspiration challenge with Stampin’ Up!® Only Challenges. The colored stripes of the pool inspired the three cardstock colors. The water was represented in both the patterned paper and the embossed cardstock layer.

This card just makes me smile with it’s bright colors and gorgeous sunset over the water. What about you? Does it give you peaceful, happy vibes or a little anxiety as you look over the water and imagine what’s hiding beneath?
