Lighthouse Adventure
Summer means water adventures for many. Trips to the ocean, lake, river, even farm pond. Days of swimming, fishing, laying out in the sun. One of the adventures that can happen around water is a lighthouse adventure.
Maybe admire one from your boat on the water. Maybe explore it up close.
Do you have a lighthouse near you?
Is it a working lighthouse?
Would you like to be a lighthouse keeper?

Card Details
SUO Challenge 405 inspired this card. This week we are CASEing the Designer. I chose to CASE the sketch and the colors from the inspiration card. My card has blues instead of green, but it kept the pink and yellow tones.
Like the inspiration card, the larger rectangle is embossed. I used is a retired Stampin’ Up!® embossing folder that I find myself drawn to anytime I want to represent water. I’m not sure I can officially call it my favorite, because I like them all for different reasons. But, it does happen to be the one I use the most often. So, for the As You See It Challenge, I can say, My favorite embossing folder is So Swirly.
I used the other side of the double sided Designer Series Paper used for the background layer of the card to create the smaller rectangle on the front.
Instead of the flower diecuts, my card uses a lighthouse diecut. This is where a touch of green gets added to the card as well as more of the pink in the stripes around the lighthouse.

This card was made for Stampin’ Up!® Only Challenge 405: CASE the designer. Both the sketch and the colors of the gorgeous inspiration card inspired my CASE. What will inspire you?
