In Honor of our Fall Like Day

Today a nice cold front came through and it almost felt like fall was in the air. Now I know fall is still a long way off and scorching heat will be beck again, probably tomorrow, but for today I could enjoy the cooler weather, crisp breeze, and smell of fresh, clean rain in the air. That plus the CAS Color Challenge this week inspired this card.

My go-to fall color combination is Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie, and Crushed Curry. They are even together in my stack of inks in the Regal color family. So, of course when thinking of a card for that challenge, I knew I was going to make a fall card.

I stamped three fall bushes?? trees?? from the Beauty of Friendship stamp set in each of the challenge colors and used them as the handle for the flip fold front of the card.

When you flip the smaller card open, you find a surprise–a pocket for a gift card, money, or even a special note. What a great way to treat someone special in your life.
