Advent Love
We are in the time of Advent–counting down the days to Christmas with celebration. I’ve noticed that people don’t always celebrate the Advent themes in the same order. So, if this is a different theme than you expect, that’s why. This second week of Advent we are celebrating Advent love.
What does that mean to you? When you think about love and Christmas, what comes to mind?
The card I created this week talks about the love of family & friends. And, that is definitely something I look forward to as we count down to Christmas. I can’t wait to spend time with my loved ones at Christmastime.
When you think about gifts for your family & friends do you do so with love? Do you spend extra time thinking about each one and picking out their gift (or making it) with love?
When I think about Advent love, I think about God’s love. I think about how he “so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16 ESV
I think about how much God loves us. I think about the love of Mary for her newborn baby boy. I think about the shepherd, angels, and wisemen who worshipped Jesus. I think about Joseph. And, I think about stable animals who probably knew they were in the presence of God.
Love is the perfect theme for a week of Advent.
Here’s hoping your Christmas is full of love.
