Adventure Awaits

Anybody else out there ready for adventure? I’ve spent to majority of the the past year inside the walls of my own home. The majority of social interaction has been through the computer. I am so thankful for technology and how it has managed to keep us connected while being physically distant from each other. Tomorrow is my second COVID-19 vaccination and following two weeks, I should have full immunity and be ready for adventuring outside of my house, my neighborhood, my town, even my state. Let the adventuring begin!!! 🙂

This card was inspired by the Inspire.Create challenge. I wanted to recreate the paper piecing pattern with the diagonal strips of Designer Series Paper. I chose to use the World of Good DSP with other elements from that suite. This seemed very vintage to me which was the theme of the TGIF Challenge this week.

I tried to age the cardstock layer on the card front by inking the edges with Cinnamon Cider and balling up the cardstock and them smoothing it back out to create an aged layer. The top layer was created with the DSP strips and the addition of antique corners and faux suede ribbon with an antique slide. The tailored tag punch with a sentiment was added on top of the faux suede ribbon.
