Best Birthday Yet
The Whimsy & Wonder Suite has been inspiring many of my cards lately. I was so excited to see it as the inspiration photo for #tgifc330. But, I wasn’t inspired to make a Christmas card. I made a birthday card, but the birthday specific sentiment is on the inside of the card, so you could make this exact same card with a different inside sentiment or even none at all. This card could then be used for a New Year’s card, back to school (second semester), good luck, congratulations, enccouragement, or just thinking of you.
The sketch using the strips of DSP was inspired by #PCC440 and also by one of the cards from the inspiration photo from the Stampin’ Up! catalog.
This card needed an extra little something, so it has a wonderful snowflake element behind some vellum that is heat embossed with clear embossing powder over Polished Pink ink. Did you know you can make an embossed image in any color you want just by stamping in a colored ink and embossing with clear embossing power? If you buy the basic embossing powders, you get black, white, and clear.
Some Polished Pink ribbon and a variety of rhinestone jewels add just that extra special touch to the card wishing you your best year yet.
