Birthday Numbers

When I think about creating with numbers, my first go-to is retired Broadway Bound Designer Series Paper. I have used these numbers for multiple cards sometimes fussy cutting a specific number. I also have retired number stamps and dies that I could use, but somehow, I’m always drawn to the sparkling gold numbers in the Broadway Bound DSP.

To me, they make the perfect birthday card. I love the sentiments in the Lighthearted Lines stamp set. I used the markering technique to get part of the birthday sentiment on the front of the card and the rest on the inside. 🙂

If the recipient of this card has an age represented on the number layer, I think I will use a frame stamp or die to highlight that number. Or maybe I’ll fussy cut their number from scraps of the paper I have laying around and add it to the card later.

    1. Thanks Nancy I don’t often keep retired DSP, but I loved that paper so much. It was perfect for the Paper Players challenge this week.

  1. This is such a fun birthday card! I love the shiny numbers and your idea to highlight one (or more) for someone’s birthday is a great idea! Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches!

    1. Thanks Jen. I’m hoping I do find someone turning a number on the front of this card so I can highlight that number before giving this card away
