Bonus Fun Fold Card

When a month has five Thursdays, that means we get a bonus fun fold card with the featured stamp set of the month. The 2-4-6-8 fun fold card is perfect with the Zoo Crew paper. I had first seen Patty Bennett demonstrate this fun fold and then my team leader, Daveda Leppke. It was definitely time to try it for myself.

The current As You Like It Challenge is which is your favorite: plain or patterned paper? I choose patterned paper almost every time. There are such amazing patterns to choose from and many Stampin’ Up! Suites have dies meant to cut out images from the coordinating pattern paper. Makes for an easy card.

Card Details

Do you think you’d like to make a fun fold card, but are overwhelmed thinking it is probably too complicated? I want to turn your crafting stress into success.

Start with a 12″ x 5 1/4″ piece of patterned paper.
Then score the paper along the long edge at 2″, 4″, 6″, and 8″.
Fold the score lines in a mountain/valley pattern.
Glue the 4″last section of the fun fold to a cardstock base cut 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″
Glue the first two 2″ sections together and then next 2 2″ seconds together. Your fun fold should be left where to can only see the pattern you have chosen for the card, not the other side.
Cut a piece of Basic White cardstock 3″ x 4″ and stamp on it and then glue to the 4″ panel of patterned paper
Cut out two diecut circles from Basic White Cardstock and attach one to the top inside of the first fold and the 2nd to the bottom inside of the second fold.
Decorate circles with other characters cut from the Zoo Crew Designer Series Paper
Add additional embellishments as desired.
