Christmas Embellishments

There is a hobby showing up everywhere. My first play with it was at a quilt show and I was sold the minute it was introduced a cross-stitch without the blood. 🙂 It is a perfect addition to your papercrafting and cardmaking. Especially when you’re looking for extra Christmas embellishments.

Have you heard of diamond painting? It allows for gorgeous projects with beautiful colored beads. And the best part, there are usually beads left over in you kit when your project is finished. And of course, no needles, so no blood. 🙂

So, what do you do with those extra beads? Why not try adding them to your cards?

Blue Christmas card with starry sky background paper; Embroidery hoop with stamped stained glass angel embellished with leftover diamond painting beads and Stampin' Up! embellishments. Card decorated with scissors and spools of thread. Sentiment says, "peace and joy."

Card Details

This is not a quick and simple card. But if you have some extra time to create and leftover beads laying around, why not give it a go? Why not add the little extra something to your Christmas cards this year.

I want to turn your crafting stress into success. So, if you find this frustrating, don’t decorate your cards with beads. Color with markers, pencils, your coloring medium of choice. Or maybe only make one for someone really special.

But, if diamond painting relaxes you and you get in the zone, why not try creating several? This card is bound to get some oohs and aahs.
