Congratulations Graduate
Graduations have been happening all over the country for the last month or so, but they’re not done yet. Graduation ceremonies are still happening. Let’s celebrate all the hard work these students have done to get them to this momentous occasion. It’s time to say “congratulations graduate.” whether the graduation happened last month, last semester, or is still coming up.
Whether or not you wore the cap and gown or walked across the stage with your class, graduation is still worth celebrating. It represents the completion of something, the culmination of lots of study and hard work.
Whether or not you think it’s a big deal worthy of celebration, it is. Graduation shows you saw something through to it’s completion. You didn’t give up. You kept going forward. You are a graduate!!!
Card Details
Want to make a card the really celebrates someone and their accomplishments but don’t know what to do? I want to turn your crafting stress into success. Adding a touch of gold always make a card a bit more celebratory.
This card uses gold in a couple of ways.
- The Nature’s Sweetness Designer Series Paper already has touches of gold in its patterns.
- The caps and diplomas created their own background paper and were heat embossed with gold embossing powder.
Heat embossing was the first technique that really sold me on card making and it remains my favorite technique to this day. There is just something magical about running the heat gun over your image covered in embossing powder and watching it magically transform to a shine embossed image. It takes my breath away every single time.
The embossing powders have been out of stock and unavailable for awhile, but I just checked and they are scheduled to arrive in stock this week. If you would like me to keep checking and let you know when they arrive, please let me know.
The touches of gold scream celebration to me. What do you use on your congratulations cards to represent celebration? To add an even more personal touch, you can color the ribbon on the diploma to match the school’s colors.
