Congratulations on Your New House
For me this card represents the tug of war within yourself when when something amazing is happening for someone and you want with all your heart to congratulate them, but a little piece of your heart just doesn’t want to let go.
My daughter bought her first house last week and this was the congratulations card I made for her. The houses, birds, and dogs represent her home. The other circles are filled with things that celebrate this new adventure. I am overflowing with pride and loving our new relationship as adults, but at the same time there are moments I long for the little girl to crawl up on my lap. How do you manage the desire to see them succeed and become independent adults with the simultaneous desire to hold them close and never let them go.
In honor of Poetry and the Creative Mind Day, I choose to write a haiku to go along with this card.
You bought your first house.
How did you grow up so fast?
