Fault line Fracture
What happens when the Earth has stress and pressure that needs released? It releases that pressure and we get to experience an earthquake. After the pressure is released, we can sometimes see visible evidence through a fault line fracture in the ground. You can see the crack in the Earth’s surface and what was underneath is now visible.
The same happens with people. When we need to release pressure and don’t make a way to release it a little at a time, it will eventually release itself and cracks will form. Then, whatever is underneath will show through the cracks.
This can happen with lots of different items. Release pressure slowly and intentionally or things can blow and cause cracks, or fault line fractures.
The Japanese art of Kintsugi is a way to take those cracks in pottery and fill them with gold to make them more beautiful.
What are you filling your cracks with? We all have them. I don’t know single person who doesn’t have cracks. The difference comes with how do we fill them. Do we fill them with something precious, valuable, and long lasting like the gold used in Kintsugi?
What do you show when the world creates cracks in you? What do people see when cracks expose your inside”

Card Details
This is a fault line card. Dawn Hoffman taught us how to create this fun card type during a Hearts of Oz event. I thought it was perfect for the Kintsugi Inspirations Suite.
In this fracture, you can see beauty. The Kintsugi Inspirations Designer Series Paper has gorgeous gold bamboo and it flanked by gold foil. Then, there appears to be a crack across the card that has been filled in with gold.
That’s what I want people to see when they look and my cracks and scars. Beauty. When life causes cracks and my true soul is revealed, I hope it will be one of beauty. My pain and brokenness will bring joy and healing to others. Reveal no ugliness inside me.
My cracks will be filled with gold. And this is only possible if the master potter fills them. It is only possible if I submit to Him and let Him turn my pain and cracks into something beautiful. It is only possible with God.
