Sparkling Snow

It’s that time of year when the expectation of snow is real. Does that get you excited? frustrated? neither? Sparkling snow is gorgeous.

I do love to look out my window and see the sparkling snow falling softly into pillows and glittering when hit by the light. That is of course, if I’m inside my warm house with no need to go outside and travel in the snow.

Snow and wheelchairs do not mix. If you’re out wheeling after it’s snowed, you better have your gloves on. As your tires go round and round, they will pick up bits of snow which will then transfer to your hands (and pants and coat). Forget about dry, clean floors wherever you go inside. Your shoes you can wipe off on the door mat, or even take off and leave by the door. Wheels . . .not so much.

I prefer to look at a picture of snow or see it on a movie or TV show than experience snow in real life. I plan to spend as much of snowy weather time inside my nice warm house, admiring the sparkling snow from the window. See you next spring!
