Give Thanks
We are entering the time of year I love . . . fall. Well, we can at least pretend we are entering fall. School has started. Football is beginning. Fall decorations are in stores. Everywhere I look I see signs reminding to count my blessings and give thanks.
I don’t think this should be a time of year issue. We need to be giving thanks and counting our blessing year round. I try to live my life filled with gratitude–even when I don’t see reminders all around me.
But, this time of year I am constantly reminded. When the fall catalogs come out, I am always excited to see what is new to celebrate Thanksgiving.
I have found when I am having a rough day, when the world is crumbling around me, focusing on my blessings and giving thanks helps change my attitude even if my circumstances don’t change.
There is always something to be thankful for.
There is always someone you could send a thank you card.
Wheat = Autumn?
Wheat doesn’t necessarily make me think of fall. Wheat harvest is in the summer around here. In fact, events are often scheduled around harvest time. So, maybe we can consider this a summer thank you card.
Card Details
Stalks of wheat are stamped on the strip of Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper. Then, a bundle of wheat die with a linen thread tied around it makes the focal point of the card.
The gratitude and giving thanks carries onto the card interior. There are even little wheat heads around the sentiment.
Whatever season you think of when you think of wheat, it is a great time to give thanks. There is no bad time to think about our blessings and give thanks. We should be doing that all year long.
