Green Ice Cream
St. Patrick’s Day is right around the corner. Sunday to be exact. Don’t forget to wear your green. We are all Irish on St. Patrick’s Day, right? We even get to eat green ice cream. Doesn’t that sound delicious? 🙂
What if I called it mint or lime? Is that better? How about a Leprechaun Shake? That is actually what inspired the card today. I had a Leprechaun Shake from Spangles made with Girl Scout Thin Mint Cookies.
And, I thought, green ice cream? Yes, please.
Card Details
I love the look of monochrome cards, especially using different tones of the same color. And, being St. Patrick’s Day week, green is a very appropriate color to use in lots of different tones.
Use of Greens
- It all begins with the green Lemon Lime Twist card base.
- Next add a strip of green patterned paper from the Stargazing Designer Series Paper set.
- The ice cream scoop is made from Granny Apple Green ink stamped on Lemon Lime Twist Paper
- The sentiment tag is made from the Fresh as a Daisy Designer Series Paper Pack.
- Finally green tinsel gems are added for embellishment.
What do you think? Enough green for you? Does it make you crave green ice cream? Go get yourself a Leprechaun or Shamrock shake before they disappear for another year.
