How to Beat the Heat

I don’t know about where you live, but I would call it sweltering around here.  Over 100 degrees.  Feels like the energy and creativity is melting out of my body.

So, how do you beat this heat?

  • Ice cream?
  • Popsicles?
  • A fan?
  • The pool?

Maybe you create a snow-covered Christmas card and trick you mind into thinking cold.

Blue Christmas card with patterned paper representing a snowfall. Triangle of vellum continues this theme with white fuzzy balls reprenting falling snow. Card says "Peace to you at Christmas."

Card Details

That’s what I tried with this card.  The Designer Series Paper looks like a dark, snowy sky.  The triangle of snowflake specialty vellum makes the concept of snow more clear.  The fuzzy snowballs on the vellum add that extra fun layer of texture.  I love when cards are as much fun to feel as they are to look at.

Inside of card with picture of holy family and Christmas sentiment.

Then, the sentiment and inside of the card make the Christmas theme even clearer.

So, did it work?

Are you cooler now?

Did you beat the heat?
