Inspired By Art

What inspires you? Is it a passionate speech? Seeing someone achieve their goals? or work hard and never give up? Are you inspired by art? What kind of art?

There are so many different types of art. The list above doesn’t even begin to name them all. What is your favorite? Is it on this list? Leave me a comment below.

Yellow card with strip of patterned paper with angled dashes om a variety of colors. The focal point image is a diecut easel with what looks like watercolored flowers and says, "You inspire me." At the bottom of the easel is a basket filled with painbrushes.

Does the thought of creating a watercolor image stress you out? Do you look at the paints and brushes and get overwhelmed? I want to help you turn your crafting stress into success.

The watercolor image on this easel was created using no paints and a stamp with the image already designed. This painting image was created by adding color to the different areas of the stamp with different colored markers. The final stamped image gives a sort of watercolor look.

The patterned paper from the Bright & Beautiful Designer Series Paper Pack gives the look of painting as well. It looks like various angled brush strokes in lots of different colors.

Finally, the diecut basket full of paintbrushes helps cement the painting theme of this card.

When I began planning the card for this fourth week of August using this month’s featured stamp set–Crafting With You, I got a little stressed out. There were two crafts I hadn’t yet featured and I thought this was the last Thursday in August. Good news! I was wrong. There are actually five Thursdays in August this year, so next Thursday will feature a card with yarn art.

Tune into Angel Stamps Facebook Page on Thursday, August 31 at 2:00pm CT to watch the video tutorial featuring yarn art.

Video Tutorial

I forgot to start record when I began my video tutorial this week. That happens to me far too often. I think I’m going to have to start putting a sticky note right in the middle of my computer screen that says, “PRESS RECORD” to remind myself. 🙂

This is a recording I made later showing some of the techniques used to create this card.
